About Us

Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible arts and cultural opportunities that support diversity & community connection.

History

The Arts Council of Tamworth has facilitated creative opportunities for the people of Tamworth, New Hampshire and the surrounding area since 1966. The organization has grown and developed with the times to best fulfill its mission to serve the community. In this second decade of the 21st century, the work remains community-focused and accessible — all engagements and interactions will have a free entry option for participants. In addition to servicing community members, ACT also extends to Tamworth’s local youth population by bringing multiple artist residencies & art projects to Tamworth’s local Title-1 Elementary school, cultivating a community resource pipeline that affords arts-focused inspiration and cultural guidance to a population that would otherwise not have regular access to the opportunity.
