The Arts Council of Tamworth’s Swift River Regatta brings together kids of all ages in a friendly competition that’s a great spectator event. Competitors will customize and decorate a 9” pine wooden model sailboat and compete for cash and other prizes in the Swift River course that passes through the center of town. In addition, ACT hosts a free “Paint Your Boat” workshop prior to race day.

The prizes will be $50 for first place (in both youth and adult divisions) and $25 for second place (in both youth and adult divisions). Other prizes for the Regatta include for the winners of the Best Decorated Boat are a $50 gift certificate for the Children's Division and Adult Division! Thanks to the generosity of local businesses, we have drawing prizes from Barn-Z Movie Theatre North Conway, BatterUp, Ben & Jerrry's North Conway, Christmas Loft/Tricks & Treats, Eldridge Family Sugar House, Rosie's, Settlers Green, Tamworth Bakery, White Birch Books, White Mountain Puzzles and Zeb's General Store! Our boat kits have been provided by Swift River Wood Products.
